Surah Al Infitar

10. وَإِنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ لَحَافِظِينَ
" And there is
no doubt about it, on top of all of you, there are guardians"
hafiza/hafizeen= used when you try to prevent or guard
something so that it doesnt go to waste. Guard a glass of water/ fence
11. كِرَامًا كَاتِبِينَ
"They are noble, they are consistently writing"
12. يَعْلَمُونَ مَا تَفْعَلُونَ
" They know full
well what you are doing"
fail = anything you do
13. إِنَّ الْأَبْرَارَ
لَفِي نَعِيمٍ
"There is no
doubt about it, truly the righteous will be in bliss (who are already in
bliss)"
inna= (purpose is to remove doubt)
barara= super plural/ awesome plural / multitudes
abrar= plural (fewer)
nayeem= continuous favour (right now and continues all the
way to akhirah)
birr= righteousness or goodness
barr = land (literally means land)
bahr= ocean
barr is stable
14. وَإِنَّ الْفُجَّارَ
لَفِي جَحِيمٍ
" And no doubt
about it,
those who explode with sins / those who dont care about the
consequences of what they do / they are out going / bursting our in rebellion
against Allah
are in jaheem"
Their fate is seeled
Al fujjar= (noun-->permanent) bent upon this rebellion
15. يَصْلَوْنَهَا يَوْمَ
الدِّينِ
" They will enter upon it , stumble into it , trip into
it, they will be cast into it on the day of ad-deen"
They will cast themselves into it
They will cast themselves into it
salyun= used when you trip into something, reluctant to go,
but you go, force yourself
Jahama= look the lion gives to its prey before it tears it
apart; it looks in the eye
16. وَمَا هُمْ عَنْهَا بِغَائِبِينَ
" And they will not be able to steel away from it
they will not be able to be outside of its view for a single
moment ever"
{manifestation of anger, horror}
17. وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا
يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
"And do you have any clue what the day of that final
judgement is?"
dar= to find something through manipulating clues
try to figure something out
investigating something
18. ثُمَّ مَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا يَوْمُ الدِّينِ
Thumma =
horrify
magnify
to elevate the person's loss and desperation
to make it heavy
19. يَوْمَ لَا تَمْلِكُ
نَفْسٌ لِنَفْسٍ شَيْئًا ۖ وَالْأَمْرُ يَوْمَئِذٍ لِلَّهِ
"The day on which no person will have any dominion, any
sovereignty, any control, any authority, any ownership in regards to any other
person
And the decision on the end on that day belongs to Allah
The command/decision on that day will belong to Allah"
no one has any control over any other person
no one has any control over any other person

Here are few questions with the help of which we can assess
ourselves towards understanding the above surah.
SURAH AL INFITAR 082 - Pt 2
Q1) Ayah 11: What are the two adjectives used to describe
the two angels positioned on our shoulders?
A1) they are noble and constantly busy writing
Q2) Ayah 12: Angels record all deeds. Who is a better
recorder than these angels?
A2) Allah because he also knows the intention behind these
deeds
Q3) Ayah 13: Who are the ones who are in bliss?
A3) the righteous ones
Q4) Ayah 13: “barr” means land and “bahr” means ocean. Which
one of them is stable? Who is compared to land?
A4) The one which is stable is barr meaning land. The ones
who have attained righteousness are compared to land
Q5) Ayah 14: Who are the “fujjar” ?
A5) The ones who explode in sins, those who do not care
about the consequences of what they do, they are bent upon kufar.
Q6) Ayah 15: “They will cast themselves into it” . Where
will they be cast into?
A6) The Jaheem meaning hellfire
Q7) Ayah 16: “and they shall not be able to escape from it.”
Explain
A7) The kuffar will not be able to escape from the hellfire.
The will not even be able to escape from the stare of the hell fire
Q8) Ayah 17: “And do you have any clue what
___________________ is”. Fill the blank
A8) the day of final judgement is / yaumu deen
Q9) Ayah 17 & 18 : Why is there repetition of the
question?
A9) to intensify the horror of the question, second time
asked same question will rattle the person , manifestion of anger and horror,
to elevate the persons sense of loss and deprevation, to make it heavy
Q10) Ayah 19: Who has authority on that day? All decisions
belong to whom?
A10) Only Allah has the authority on that day
