Surah At-Tin

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
1. وَالتِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ

“I swear by the fig and by the olive”
-- > these are fruits; their locations
-- > the region in which the fig grows; the region where arc of Nuh.a landed- Mount Judy ;Nuh.a
-- > (Jesus prayed on the mount of olives) Az zaitoon; Masjid al aqsa ;Isa.a

2. وَطُورِ سِينِينَ
“And I swear by the Mount Sinai”
وَطُورِ : lush full of trees, green mountain
the location in which the Lord of the worlds spoke to a human being; Musa.a

3. وَهَٰذَا الْبَلَدِ الْأَمِينِ

“And this entrusted city; blessed/ peaceful city (Makkah)”
-- > fulfils the dua of Ibrahim.a
-- > this city is immersed in peace
الْأَمِينِ : Ameen: peaceful; Amanah: this city is known for trust; this city is incredibly peaceful
Rasulallah.s and Ibrahim.a

-- > God, afterlife, soul – the unseen(olden times)
-- > Universe, thislife, body – the seen(modern times)
-- > human beings forgot themselves

4. لَقَدْ خَلَقْنَا الْإِنْسَانَ فِي أَحْسَنِ تَقْوِيمٍ
 (Jawab ul Qasam; response to the oath)
“For Sure, already, We created the human being in the best possible fashion; the best possible balance”
لَقَدْ : for emphasis, for sure, already done
خَلَقْنَا: closer; full control
الْإِنْسَانَ : al insaan: nasiya: to forget; this forgetful creature
أَحْسَنِ  : husn: beauty; ahsan: beautiful both on the outside and the inside; literal and figurative
تَقْوِيمٍ : taqweem: to take multiple components and to balance them together so they are perfectly straight; to design something perfectly for the purpose for which you were wanting to make it

5. ثُمَّ رَدَدْنَاهُ أَسْفَلَ سَافِلِينَ

“Then we rejected him and lowered him to the lowest of the low”
-- > weakness of the body; spiritual weakness
رَدَدْنَاهُ : radadna: to return, to reject, to lower; to reject something based on the fact that it is  unacceptable
أَسْفَلَ : asfal: the lowest part of something
سَافِلِينَ : safil: something that is lower on the basis status, position, dignity;
-- > Allah rejected the human being because he himself became unacceptable
-- > lowest pits of hellfire

6. إِلَّا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا وَعَمِلُوا الصَّالِحَاتِ فَلَهُمْ أَجْرٌ غَيْرُ مَمْنُونٍ

(conclusion of the surah)
“with the exception of those who have iman and act righteous then it is only they who have ajar; pay, recompense, reward that will never be cut off”
mamnun: that which will not be imposed as a favor
-- > the deeds are temporary, the reward are endless
-- > Allah will give and ask nothing in return

7. فَمَا يُكَذِّبُكَ بَعْدُ بِالدِّينِ

“After all of this, what is it that is so powerful, that still makes you criticize your religion and make lies against it.
What is it that is going to make you lie against the Deen?”
“What kind of person will it have to be to lie against you (Ya Rasulallah.s) to lie against the Deen”
بِالدِّينِ : Deen: precise judgement in this world and the next.

8. أَلَيْسَ اللَّهُ بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ
“Isn’t Allah the ultimate leader of all wise ”
Subhanakallah wa bala ana ala zalika min al shahideen
{How perfect you are O Allah,  Off course, you are the wisest of the wise of the ultimate of the rulers, and I am of all a witness to that }
wisest of the wise, the best judge among the wise, the most appropriate judge among the wise,
بِأَحْكَمِ: Ahkam: the wisest, the most justified
الْحَاكِمِينَ : rulers, wisely
بِأَحْكَمِ الْحَاكِمِينَ : the most rightful judge of all those people to have wisdom
