Transcripts

The oath is a means by which you are asked to reflect and it prepares you for the lesson that is about to come. The fundamental lesson of this surah is favors Allah gives to his messenger. S

The messenger of Allah. S was depressed that the revelation stopped coming.

Dhuha is the time of the day in which there is activity – hussling and bustling, its rush hour of the day.
“Allah swears by the soothing light of the morning.”
(The time of rising of the sun, late morning)

“And the night when it becomes still and lifeless.”
سَجَىٰ : stillness, discontinuity, death, when the night becomes completely motionless, not a leaf even moving

-- > Both of these times are relaxing.
-- > neither of it is permanent.
-- > The soothing light represents the light of revelation and the brilliance that it had on the messenger.s and how he was able to deliver that brilliance to others.
-- > The night represents the discontinuation/cutting off of revelation and its stillness. This world without the light of revelation would be in darkness.

“Your Lord has not bid farewell to you (Muhammad.s) and He is not displeased.”
Allah has never said goodbye forever, Your master did not bid you farewell. And he is not displeased at all.
-- > Allah has not at all been displeased with you
وَدَّعَكَ : goodbye forever (said between friends and family)

“The hereafter is definitely definitely better for you than the earlier”
-- > And really the hereafter is better.
Allah is saying I swear (for sure) the next life is better.
-- > The audience is denying
-- > The hauz of kausar in Jannah is better for you.
-- > The challenges ahead is gonna be easier. The toughest part is already done.
(Early Seerah) He is the only one. Allah is suggesting that your numbers are going to increase and dawah will become easy upon you and this ridicule is going to become less and less relevant
-- > for you especially (Muhammad.s) . he gets things that nobody else gets. Muqame Mahmood, domination of Islam, cleansing the house of Allah, elevate the mention of Muhammad.s everytime the azan is called, sadqae zariya.

“And (soon but not so soon) your Lord will give you so much (unlimited reward) that you’ll be happy/pleased (with Allah and for what His master has done)”
sa: very very soon
saufa: soon but not so soon
يُعْطِيكَ : give and don’t take it back. Full rights no responsibilities. Full control

Didn’t he(Allah) find you an orphan; then he made a guest, he gave shelter (to you and others by means of you)
Bring someone into your home (refuge from some kind of a danger)
يَتِيمًا : an orphan; nobody cares for you like your parents care for you
-- > Abu Talib who was his uncle gave him shelter ( the favour actually came from Allah.awj)

“And he found you lost then he guided (you and others by means of you)”
-- > unaware of the higher truth, wisdom;
       He(Allah) found you searching for truth;
He is disturbed about where you would find the truth.

“He found you crushed under weight in this desperate state and he made free of need (to you and because of you he made free of need others)”
A’il : someone who is under a lot of pressure and they are being crushed by theipressure.

“Then especially when it comes to the orphan, then don’t overpower him/ don’t humiliate him, don’t over dominate him ”

“And when it comes to the one who asks (knowledge, guidance, food, shelter), then you don’t humiliate them (like they are standing in a river and the water is coming and hitting them wave after wave after wave)”

“And when it comes to the favour of your master, then make mention of it.”
Ni’ma: softness, ease, relaxation, comfort
