بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
1. أَلَمْ نَشْرَحْ لَكَ صَدْرَكَ
“Didn’t we expand your chest (only for you and especially for )you”
نَشْرَحْ : to open up the meaning of something which was otherwise complex; to clarify something
expansion of the chest : put someone’s mind/heart at rest
-- > The opening of the chest implies that any barrier between the true knowledge/true meaning of the message that Allah has given him, any of that barriers have been removed.
-- > Didn’t we do you a favour, didn’t I put your chest at ease
-- > angel came at childhood, opened his chest and cleaned his heart
-- > occasion of mi’raj
-- > expands his chest for Islam- submission, obedience
-- > expand the chest in the work of the messenger – ( Moosa.a and Muhammad.s)
-- > Jibril.a brought it(Quran) down on something much stronger than the mountain, the heart of the messenger of Allah.s
2. وَوَضَعْنَا عَنْكَ وِزْرَكَ
“And didn’t we remove/ eliviate/ take off from you your burden”
وَوَضَعْنَا : Wadha’na: something that was placed somewhere(like a table) and you take it off and put it down(on the floor); a mother when she bears a child
وِزْرَكَ : wizr : heavier burden, overwhelming crushing burden
3. الَّذِي أَنْقَضَ ظَهْرَكَ
“the burden was so heavy that it was causing cracks on your back”
“a burden that was about to break and snap his back”
أَنْقَضَ : to place such burden upon someone that you start hearing cracks; crackling of knees for old
ظَهْرَكَ : back of the messenger.s
-- > deep thinking of messenger of Allah.s in the cave when Allah sent him Jibril.a
-- > moral alternatives/ principles by which the problems of the society will be solved
-- > revelation stopped coming
-- > work of the messenger.s , dirty task of dealing with these nasty people
-- > entire responsibility of the human race was on his shoulders
-- > Allah forgiven the action of the messenger.s
4. وَرَفَعْنَا لَكَ ذِكْرَكَ
“Especially for you and for your sake we have elevated your mention”
-- > Whenever Allah is mentioned Muhammad.s is mentioned with him.
ذِكْرَكَ : Zikr: mention on the tongue or remembrance in the heart
لَكَ: for your sake and only for you
-- > Azan - all over the world
-- > Allah sent his salawat upon the messengers.s
-- > Not only did he send Salam upon the messengers, And the angels, but he commanded the believers as well.
“Especially for you and for your sake we have elevated your mention”
-- > Whenever Allah is mentioned Muhammad.s is mentioned with him.
ذِكْرَكَ : Zikr: mention on the tongue or remembrance in the heart
لَكَ: for your sake and only for you
-- > Azan - all over the world
-- > Allah sent his salawat upon the messengers.s
-- > Not only did he send Salam upon the messengers, And the angels, but he commanded the believers as well.
5. فَإِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
“Then as a result, for sure, no doubt with every difficulty there is tremendous ease, amazing amount of ease”
مَعَ: simultaneous; one after the other
الْعُسْرِ: u’sr: difficulty or a time of difficulty (difficult situation or difficult time)
يُسْرًا : yusr: easy, smooth a task that you can do withour any effort
Surely with every difficulty
there is relief.
6. إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
“Indeed, incredible ease will only follow some difficulty”
amazing ease will only arise when you go through some difficulty
-- > one of these statements talking about the Prophet’s past; the next one talking about prophet’s future
-- > one for this life and one for the next life
-- > the repetition is for love and affection
7. فَإِذَا فَرَغْتَ فَانْصَبْ
“When you are free, when you are relieved (from the work of dawah during the day), then exhaust yourself standing pegging yourself” (qiyam ul layl )
فَرَغْتَ: Faragha: to be relieved of one task
8. وَإِلَىٰ رَبِّكَ فَارْغَبْ
“And only to your master be completely lovingly devoted”
فَارْغَبْ : Arghiba: to lovingly devoted yourself to someone or (when used A’n with it ) to run away from someone
-- > its speaking about his.s entire life;
6. إِنَّ مَعَ الْعُسْرِ يُسْرًا
“Indeed, incredible ease will only follow some difficulty”
