“The people who disbelieved belonging to one of two groups- those who disbelieved from the people of the book and from those who did shirk
they would never become separated themselves/ to discontinue doing something
until the clearest proof came to them”

مُنْفَكِّينَ :  to stop doing something, freeing a slave, painfully separated, divided, chopped, cut off
-- > they weren’t going to stop their shirk (association with Allah, disbelief, ignorance, misguidance ) until the revelation came and corrected them
-- > is that the case that they will not stop until clear proof came (point of view of kuffar)
-- > small portion of people of book disbelieved
kafara: كَفَرُوا :  bury a seed deep in the ground
-- > power of the quran – separate the entire nation
-- > they abandon their kufar/ tradition/ legacy until a clear proof came.
Bayyinah: a proof that you cannot argue with; put distance between two things; that which is crystal clear

Four kinds of people:
  1. People whose good you can see Eg. Abu Bakar
                                                                                             { In- good     out- good }
  2. People whose good you cant see Eg. Umar ibn khattab
                                                                                           { In- good      out- x }
  3. People are corrupt on the inside but outside he was good Eg. Abu jahal
                                                                                           { In- x       out-good }
  4. No good at all, no good inside or outside Eg. Abu Lahab
                                                                                            { In- x       out-  x }
This revelation is forceful enough to separate these people
-- > tribal lines, family lines disappeared in Makkah

“A magnificent messenger sent from Allah that recites purified scriptures”
-- > An awesome messenger from Allah that reads on to people purified scriptures
-- > messenger + message = Bayyinah
-- > speech + action = bayyinah
Tilawa: to follow
The Quran has a 3 step journey -  Lauh al Mahfooz, angel Jibril.a to be read on to Muhammad.s

“In which these are established books/ established laws”
In those scriptures, were books
كُتُبٌ : laws; (there is other wisdom in these scriptures too)
قَيِّمَةٌ : established, firm, upright laws, something was crooked and it sets it straight
-- >  The laws of Allah sets the society straight

“Those who were given the book didn’t fall into division among themselves until even after the clearest proofs came to them”
-- > darkness into light (1st ayah)
      light into darkness (this ayah)
Those who were given the book ( no mention of Allah- negative context)

“And if anything they were commanded except that they fall into worship of Allah”
Ibadah: worship                                                  ilaah – abd (time specific)
               slavery                                                   Rabb – abd (no time)
Worship is voluntarily, slavery is forced. But this slavery is different. We enter into it willingly. The master is loved, shown gratitude praised (not cursed)

-- > 5 conditions of slavery:
  1. Love for Allah,
  2. Obedience,
  3. Sincerity (Everything prayer, sacrifice, life and death are for the sake of Allah) service of my master
  4. Trust (Tawakkul),
  5. Terms of Slavery are dictated by master (Good and bad dictated by master)

“They were not commanded except that they may fall into slavery and worship of Allah, making the religion sincerely for His sake, only for Him. And that they should establish the Salah and give Zakah. And that is the way of life of truly established religion/ established nation”
حُنَفَاءَ : to incline away from misguidance towards uprightness and being straight and remaining committed

“… they are and will be the fire of Hell, they will remain in it. Those infact are the ones are the most worst, vicious, and the nastiest ”
“Those who disbelieve whether they belong to the people of the book or they are from the mushrikoon of the Arabs, they are going to be in the fire of hell because they are the worst of all existence”
Why? Because Allah have gave them Al- bayyinah
جَهَنَّمَ : torcher chamber
الْبَرِيَّةِ: to bring something into existence; anything that exists

“No doubt those who believed and acted righteously, they are the best of all existence ”
When the audience is at some confusion, not sure

“Their reward with their Master – the gardens of Eden, at the foot of which rivers are flowing, they will remain in it permanently, Allah will be satisfied/ pleased with them and they will be completely satisfied and pleased with Him. That is for the one who truly feared His Master.”
أَبَدًا ۖ : permanently, ( no permanently for Jahannam in ayah 7 – more detail for people of Jannah ).
