Surah An-Nas

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

-- > قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ
قُلْ أَعُوذُ مَلِكِ النَّاسِ
قُلْ أَعُوذُ إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ

-- > Surah Falaq:  The previous surah ended with hasad
Of all the creations of Allah who is the most jealous? Shaytaan
-- > Evils of the outside are guarded in Surah Falaq (out of control; harm in duniya)
and evils on the inside,(you are liable yourself; harm your aqirah,deen, iman) in Surah Naas
-- > why we call on Allah 3 times in this surah. We ask Allah a lot more protection in this Surah

=======THE ONE YOU ARE SEEKING PROTECTION OF (Musta’az bihi)========

1.  قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ النَّاسِ

قُلْ : obeying Allah’s command, openly declare that you are seeking refuge (humble yourself before Allah, crushing one’s own nafs-ego),
رَب : (al maalik) absolute owner, (wa sayyid)complete authority, (wal murabbi) the one who ensures growth/takes care of, (wal murshid) sets it in the right direction, (wal munim ) grants gifts, (wal qayyim)ensuring the existence of the subject(all of us)
"Rabbu al Maalik, wa 's Sayyid, wa' l MuRabbi,
wa 'l Murshid, wa' l Mun 'im, wa' l Qayyim ”
-- >Summary of Qur'an in 2 sentence. Accept Allah as master and accept yourself as slave.
(this guidance will only benefit those who accept this.)

2. مَلِكِ النَّاسِ

مَلِكِ : King
-- > authority of Allah

3. إِلَٰهِ النَّاسِ

إِلَٰهِ : Allah.awj
-- > comes from the word ‘aliha, ilaihi’,
to incline towards someone, to stick/go towards someone, to be constantly obsessed with someone;
the one who should be worshipped and obeyed

-- > biggest victim of Shaitan: Firaun (bad people mentioned in Quran- shaitan, no.2-Firaun)
Worst manifestation of arrogance is firawn. 
Sometimes people, their own desires become their ilah

النَّاسِ : Naas comes from nisyaan - forgetfulness.
-- > Forgetfulness and getting caught with Shaitan is the same, remembering Allah and being protecting from Shaitan is also the same
-- > When you remember Allah shaytaan takes step back, when you stop remembering Allah, shaytaan takes a step forward, he is there to whisper. He does not rest. He is working harder than any of us.
-- > the repetition of النَّاسِ here, Allah has honored the human being, next to name of Allah

======THE ONE YOU ARE SEEKING PROTECTION FROM (Musta’az minhum)=====

4. مِنْ شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ الْخَنَّاسِ

“We ask Allah’s refuge from the harmful evil of the extreme whisperer ”
شَرِّ : the spark that comes out of a flame that can burn you, shadow you; evil that can cause you harm; harmful evil
الْوَسْوَاسِ :  whispers, someone who whispers again then whispers again… , continuity, repeatedly, obsessive compulsive whisperer,  specifically Iblees (or) Iblees and his children
شَرِّ الْوَسْوَاسِ : evil of the whisperer; the one who does whispering can do more evil than just whisper
الْخَنَّاسِ :  stars that turn around, disappear, retreat ; the one who keeps stepping back (and step forward); wahhab-keeps giving gifts, ghaffaar-keeps forgiving, khannas-keeps stepping back when you remember Allah,
Shaitaan: being consumed with rage;

5. الَّذِي يُوَسْوِسُ فِي صُدُورِ النَّاسِ

(the one who continually whispers and) “will continue to whisper in the chests of the people”
صُدُورِ : Sadar-chest,
the heart is like a castle, front yard, backyard around, the key to the door (of castle) is in your hand
when shaitaan makes his way into your heart, evil deeds start looking beautiful/tempting/good

6. مِنَ الْجِنَّةِ وَالنَّاسِ

“from devils and human devils”
الْجِنَّةِ : the jinn is better in waswasa; original idea;
النَّاسِ : (your best friend) , puppet for Iblees, (websites, TV channels, DVD, modern mass media)
-- > Shaitan uses jinns and uses people to conduct his waswasa, he uses them
