Surah Al Infitar

1. إِذَا السَّمَاءُ انْفَطَرَتْ
"When/All of a sudden, the sky being severely damaged across the horizon, a long tear in the sky

iza= when, all of a sudden, means of calling to attention
fatara= literally means to tear something wide open , tear it across from its length
2. وَإِذَا الْكَوَاكِبُ انْتَثَرَتْ
" And when the stars start falling apart, start dispersing"
Intasarat= when something falls due to a sudden jerk
Eg: marbles/pearls falling off of a bed due to a sudden jerk of the sheet
najam= highlights the brilliance and
kaukab= highlights the magnitude and the fact that they are fixtures
3. وَإِذَا الْبِحَارُ فُجِّرَتْ
"And when the oceans they explode
exploding out / coming out everywhere/ spilling over everywhere"
fajara=rips out
4. وَإِذَا الْقُبُورُ بُعْثِرَتْ
"And when the graves are manipulated and turned over and people are retrieved"
qabar = literally that which is dug with the intent of burrying someone
ba'sara= drag something out after manipulating it
graves will be manipulated and we are going to be pulled out
5. عَلِمَتْ نَفْسٌ مَا قَدَّمَتْ وَأَخَّرَتْ
" Every person knows full well whatever this person sent forward and whatever this person left behind"
--> When a person does good, it is sent forward and when a person does bad, that is also sent forward.
Opportunities to do good things, that is left behind and opportunities to sin, that is left behind
-->It is also interpreted as the first things you did in life and also the last thing that you did in life
--> Another way that this is understood- things you do has been sent forward and consequences of what you did will be left behind
6. يَا أَيُّهَا الْإِنْسَانُ مَا غَرَّكَ بِرَبِّكَ الْكَرِيمِ
"O! human being! what deluded you/ what manipulated you/ what conned you away from your gracious Rabb"
insaan/nasiya= one who forgot,
insaan/uns= to have affection
garra= means when you take someone who is careless like a tourist and you con them to get something out of them
Rabb necessarily denotes a relationship, master-slave relationship
Kareem= noble, gracious
the one who honored Bani Adam; wa laqad karramna bani adam
7. الَّذِي خَلَقَكَ فَسَوَّاكَ فَعَدَلَكَ
" The one who created you
then equate, fix everything perfectly, tweak, fine-tuned you
then balanced you"

8. فِي أَيِّ صُورَةٍ مَا شَاءَ رَكَّبَكَ
"In any which form He wanted and however He wanted, He fashioned you"
surah= is used for all objects that can be distinguished from one another with the visual eye
rakkaba/tarkeeb= literally means to put something on top of something else
9. كَلَّا بَلْ تُكَذِّبُونَ بِالدِّينِ
"On the contrary (despite of all the balance that we created you) / rather / not at all, you lied delibrately against the deen/ we find you lying against the deen"
takzeeb= lying
your accusations are themselves a lie, to lie against someone's claim
deen= way of life
dain= a loan
dana= to give someone but you owe them completely
giving someone or taking from someone a specified portion that is due back
